A short note on what a Renticulate account stores, and what other people can see.
What we store
When you create an account we store your email, a hashed password (not the password itself), and the profile you write: name, suburb, bio, household, pets, and a photo if you add one. The waitlist on the home page stores name, email, whether you rent or let, and suburb, so we can write when early access opens.
What other people see
Your public profile shows your name, photo, suburb, bio, and the household details you choose to share. It does not show your email. The person who administers Renticulate can see account emails in order to verify people. Nobody else can.
The session cookie
Signing in sets a cookie called renticulate_session. On renticulate.com it is scoped to the whole .renticulate.com domain, so the same sign-in can work on trade.renticulate.com when that site moves onto this account. The cookie is not readable by page scripts.
Deleting your account
Delete my account removes the profile, the photo, the sessions, and any waitlist row that uses the same email. After that, we do not keep the account.
